About Flinders Power

Flinders Power provides more than 40% of South Australia 's electricity supply through our low-cost, reliable and continuous Northern Power Station and Playford Power Station operations in Port Augusta, in the State's north.

Together these efficient base load generation assets sell more than 5,000GWh (Gigawatt hours) of electricity in Australia 's National Electricity Market (NEM).

Flinders Power is the only generator in South Australia to own its fuel source and leases a dedicated rail line between the power stations and the Leigh Creek coal mine.

The company employs approximately 450 people over its three locations - Augusta Power Stations, Leigh Creek Coalfield and Head Office (located in Adelaide ).
