About the School of Electronic Engineering
The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering is one of seven schools in the Faculty of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences. It has offered professional engineering programs of high academic standard since its foundation in 1946 and has strong research programs in many areas of the discipline.
The Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronic) degree provides a strong background in mathematics and physics as well as practical experience in the design and debugging of electrical, electronic and software systems. The academic program covers a broad range of electrical and electronic technologies. It develops written and oral communication skills, and familiarity with project management and quality control techniques. In the final year of the academic program students can select electives allowing specialisation in power engineering, including power generation and distribution, and electrical machines.
The School also offers one year and two year course work Master of Engineering degrees with advanced power engineering courses. |
